Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA) is a Government Executive Agency, which was established under The Water Supply and Sanitation Act, 2019. The agency is working under the Ministry of Water and it was inaugurated on July, 2019.
✅CIVIL TECHNICIAN – 30 POSTS
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To assist in the repair and maintenance of Agency’s buildings and plumbing facilities and systems.
- To conduct routine repair and regular maintenance of water,
plumbing and equipment of the Agency. - To implement specified technical plans and designs connected with
repair and maintenance work. - To participate in building capacity of CBWSOs to prepare and submit
monthly reports to the RUWASA Ward office. - To provide technical advice and support to the CBWSOs.
- To mobilize communities in collaboration with Village Council to form CBWSOs for management of rural water supply schemes.
- To assist in water sampling for water quality monitoring of water
supply schemes. - To build capacity of CBWSOs to prepare and submit monthly reports to the RUWASA district office.
- To provide technical advice and support to the CBWSOs.
- To collect Water samples for water quality monitoring of water supply
schemes. - To supervise CBWSOs operations and assist maintenance of schemes.
- To participate in preparation of proposal for construction/rehabilitation of excreta treatment facilities.
- To participate in promotion of appropriate technologies on sanitation facilities.
- To assist to Collect, process, monitor and disseminate sanitationbrelated information
- To assist to Promote public awareness on environmental issues hrough educational programmes.
- To supervise CBWSOs operations and assist maintenance of schemes. and
- To perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Holder of FTC or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
SALARY SCALE – RSS 3.

✅WATER TECHNICIAN II (HYDROGEOLOGIST) – 65 POSTS
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To cconduct reconnaissance surveys on water, aquifers rocks and soils.
- To aassist in collecting and analyses data concerning water depth, flow, and quality.
- To aassist in collecting and analyses data related to water, aquifers
rocks and soils. - To aassist in making measurements of water flows.
- To aassist in recording routine measurements of water levels at
specified observations wells/dams. - To aassist in collecting water quality samples and making laboratory test of water quality.
- To aassist in collecting water samples for chemical analysis.
- To pprepare reports on the surveys conducted and submit to supervisor.
- To pprepare geophysical equipment to ensure they are in good condition for field work.
- To troubleshoot problems of geophysical equipment.
- To pperform minor repairs on water level recorders and other equipment used in hydrologic investigations.
- To perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Holder of Diploma in Hydrogeology, Water Supply and Sanitation Engineering, Water Well Drilling or equivalent qualification from a recognized and a recognized Institution.
SALARY SCALE – RSS 3.1
