Marine Engineering with a GPA not less than 3.5 from a recognized institution.
Knowledge of running CFD simulations and analyses, applying Finite Element methods for structural analysis, and utilizing workstations for naval architecture and modeling and proficiency with software such as Ansys, Rhinoceros, MATLAB, Maxsurf, and Star CCM+ will have an added advantage.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements;
  • To take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed for carpentry work;
  • To analyze problem and identify appropriate tools and materials for repair;
  • To choose carpentry materials based on budget, location, and intended uses of building;
  • To follow health and safety standards and complies with building codes;
  • To perform inspections to identify and replace worn parts of carpentry work; and
  • To perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
