Makao makuu yapo Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Chuo Kikuu Huria kina takribani wanafunzi 70,000 kutoka ngazi mbalimbali za kitaaluma.

Chuo hicho Kilianzishwa mwaka 1992 kwa Sheria ya Bunge namba 17 ya mwaka 1992. Sheria hiyo ilipata nguvu ya utendaji rasmi tarehe 1 Machi 1993 kwa mujibu wa tangazo la serikali namba 55 ya gazeti lake rasmi.

Mwaka 1994, Januari 19 Makamu Mkuu wa kwanza wa Chuo alishika madaraka na mwezi huohuo walisajiliwa wanafunzi wa awamu ya kwanza.

Holder of Master degree in Development Studies, Master of Arts in planning and Development, Rural Development, Gender Studies, Development, Evaluation and Planning, Governance or Cooperative and Community Development with a minimum GPA of 4.0 out of 5 and 3.8 out of 5 in First degree.
