PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To effectively manage the electrical maintenance activities at underground operations which includes underground electrical works / water facilities / outside water sources / camp facilities and infrastructure / overhead power lines/power generation / medium voltage tasks / ventilation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Form Four Certificate with VETA Trade Test Certificate Grade one/ Level Three in industrial Electrical.
Diploma or Degree in Electrical will be an added advantage.
Must possess Valid Tanzanian Driving License.
EXPERIENCE:
At least 3 years of experience as High Voltage Electrician, doing troubleshooting and repairs of Underground high Voltage, cable runs, Fan installations, servicing of Drill rig Jumbo and servicing ug pumps.
Jumbo Sandvik experience is an added advantage.
MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Performing electrical fault diagnostics on Equipment and other machines to identify faults.
Repairing electrical faults in jumbos, Solos, cubex starters, flight pumps, stalker pumps and replacing damaged/faulty parts where necessary.
Performing checks and tests to verify the success of repair work.
Assembling and installing electrical and electronic systems in the equipment’s.
Preparing time and cost estimates for business unit.
Performing routine revision and maintenance on the machines.
Performing checks and tests to verify the success of repair work.
Works well with all stakeholders, co-operating and coordinating works to ensure that all equipment is optimized and running efficiently.
Responds promptly to all breakdowns, ensuring that equipment is returned effectively to production, whilst causing minimum disruption to its continuity and without compromising product quality or safety.
Carries out planned maintenance activities in line with maintenance schedules and helps to develop and maintain schedules in line with requirements.
Ensures that all equipment processes are fully compliant with organizational and legislative health and safety requirements.
The post holder will be competent to carry out High voltage task based on project works.
Previous experience in UG equipment Operational maintenance background desirable.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To provide technical support to GGM employees, visitors and contractors, Also assisting Safety Superintendent, Manager Safety & ERT, and Senior Manager HSE to develop and implement the GGML Integrated Safety Management System, Major hazard standard, Critical controls monitoring, Zero Harm innovation/initiatives and a safe working environment sufficient to maintain GGML’s social license to operate in Tanzania and comply with the AGA standards, Ghana and Tanzania Business Unit and GGML frameworks for best practice internationally.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Tertiary certificate/Diploma in Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, SAMTRAC/SHEMTRAC, Chamber of Mine Safety)
Management qualification (SDP)
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 5 years of experience or exposure to the large-scale Mining Management Systems.
Accident/Incident Investigation course work.
Possession of Tanzania driver’s License.
MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ensuring that all services and operations are undertaken with due regard to the AGA OHS policy and standards in line with ISO 45001:2018 System, IMIU and ICMI code Requirements.
Advise and assist the Safety Superintendent to plan, implement and monitor implementation of the GGM Integrated Safety Management system, including ISO 45001:2018, legal, and AGA/BU policy standards.
Providing professional and technical support to the Safety Superintendent in the monitoring and developing programs to ensure that all GGM operating procedures comply with AGA, BU and GGM Safety frameworks and best practice standards.
Conduct research and recommend to the Safety Superintendent on developing Safety Programs based on new findings.
Review safety performance and recommend to the Safety Superintendent a systematic program to monitor employees, equipment, and contractors, for effective compliance with Safety Management practices, standards, and requirements.
Cooperate, participate, and facilitate IIP & Advanced Investigations, with a focus on Near misses & High potential incidents.
Actively support the implementations, review and monitoring of targeted Safety Campaigns and related improvement initiatives.
Cooperate and Support the Safety Superintendent with the implementation of a GGM Fatal Risk Champion Program and related activities.
Participate and coordinate risk assessment process on regular basis (BLRA, issue based and continuous.)
Implement leading indicators Inspections, Hazards reporting and actions, Risk assessment, Plan tasks Observations, Safety Interventions, Safety Interaction, Caught in Act with the set target and deliverable. Facilitate the awareness of mining safe working procedure to all team in the mining operation.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to operate at least one HME.
Ability to identify potential hazards and advise on minimising risks and assessing controls effectiveness.
Ability to understand and review EHS systems.
Ability to manage Occupational Health & Safety programs and interpreting safety data/information.
Understanding site risks and recognising developing workplace hazards.

To Implement environmental monitoring programs – water quality, air quality, meteorology,
noise and vibration, etc. as part of the overall environmental management to comply with legal corporate and other requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Tertiary qualification in Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science/Engineering or other related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in a similar role, a minimum of 2+ years of experience in environmental management.

Assist in implementing Water Management and Air Quality Management Standards.

Data Management
Oversee the storage of monitoring data ensuring all data in all formats are securely kept as they are collected.
Manage access to the collected data in all formats.
Manage the environmental software and database license renewals and updates.
Share data as requested by other users.
Data Analysis, Interpretation, and reporting
Analyze raw data, using various tools and techniques, to get useful information.
Contact the laboratory to address errors related to analytical procedures and lab reports.
Address all issues relating to the data collection process.
Recommend and implement approved practical and cost-effective corrective and preventive measures to address exceedances found.
Any other duties as assigned by a supervisor related to your role.
